I know many collectors have said this in the past and many will say it in the future. But if you still have the original batteries that came with the environments in you really need to remove or replace them. Due to space issues I have my collection crated up so I don't think about the batteries very much but I finally got around to doing that last night since all but two environments had the manufacturer's batteries.

For the most part it was fine. There were a few batteries that had evidence of a little leaking with a drop of stuff here and there but when I got to my Retirement Castle all hell had broken loose. This battery had leaked so much that the stuff had slipped through the crack and was very evident on the outside-bottom part before I even opened it. I cleaned it up and luckily it still works but it was a good reminder to keep an eye on these things.
