i recently bought this figurine of willie as braveheart. its a proper bootleg. some guy was making them about 10 years ago. i also have 3 star wars themed figures he produced to.

i was wondering, do any of you have any nifty bootlegs?

by proper, i simply meant it was a bootleg, not just an offiical figure but an obscure company that there is little info on . also you get some items that look
like bootlegs but were licencesed

I got those simpsons fetuses and then In a different auction I found som prototype fetal simpsons- no paint and slightly different from the painted ones...

Technically this is not a bootleg. A bootleg is more related to counterfeits or unlicensed commercially sold items often from other countries like Mexico,
Malaysia, Argentina, etc. They are sold as official with fake tags or cards or labels, or just use the SImpsons name and copyrighted images and stuff on the
packaging. An unpackaged, fan created sculpture is what this more appears to be. It's in line with the action figure customs, sculptures, fan fiction, and
other hand made simpsons items sold as such and not being represented as licensed merchandise. Now if you told me these were sold in official boxes with the
Simpsons logo in the thousands, then it'd be a different story.
