Well actually a year and one day... on June 29th, 2007 I got my first WoS figure: Simpsons Kitchen with Muumuu Homer for 30 bucks including shipping. I think this was a good way to kick off my collection since King Size Homer is one of my favorite episodes of all time (it wouldn't be until July 3rd that I would get the playset representing my all-time top favorite episode: Homer's Enemy).
So in a year period I have all the figures except:
Sunday Best Homer
Blue Haired Lawyer
Plow King Barney
Mr. Plow Homer
Tuxedo Krusty
Dr. Stephen Hawking
Kwik-E-Mart with Apu
First Church of Springfield with Reverend Lovejoy
Police Station with Officer Eddie
Town Square with Jebediah Springfield
New Year's Eve Set
Lunar Base with Radioactive Man and Fallout Boy
Kwik-E-Mart Diorama with Apu and Grampa
Krustylu Studios Diorama with Milhouse and Krusty
Simpson House Diorama with Homer, Marge, and Maggie
So I'd say that's pretty damn good for a year's worth of collecting. I also don't have the re-paints of Moe and Mr. Burns and I'm not sure if I'm gonna get them. I mean I might buy them if I find them cheap but they aren't a must-have for me (although I would like a Moe who actually stands on the peg in Moe's Tavern).
You're probably wondering how much I spent in one year to get all these Simpsons figures. The grand total is: $1552.38. All things considered I'd say that's not bad. Most of them I got for less than retail price. Some I had to pay big bucks for (The most I paid for one single figure was 63 bucks for GitD Homer).
Only 15 more to go =D
