It's offcial, the cast signed today for 4 more years at $400,000 a episode each.

Great news! I know the show has already run a lot longer than most shows, but I will still be bummed when it ends. Even though there are only a couple of episodes a year that really blow me away, I still enjoy watching it more than most shows, so I am psyched. As for the lack of replies, it's only been a couple of days. This is primarily a board for Simpsons merchandise and there just hasn't been much out there to get excited about lately, so traffic around here isn't what it used to be.

It is good news, but the deal only takes it to 23 seasons. I'd like to see it extended to 25 seasons.

yeah I'd like to see 25. I go to another board I'm sure some of you do too nohomers, and I just get depressed going over there and talking Simpsons, so
many people just hate it now and want it to end.
I understand people who say they only like Seasons 1-10 or whatever but as someone said on here one day. the worst episode of the simpsons is still better than no simpsons. i love the show as much now as I ever have. I havent decided how I will take the news once it does go away. I'll admit I cried watching the last Friends episode, so i'll probably get drunk even though I've never drank before watching the last simpsons. |

Amen. We may never see consistently awesome episodes like we did in seasons 3 through 8, but we are consistently seeing better episodes then we did around
season 12 or so. The fact that the show is still is good as it is after all this time is really amazing.

Any of you just think of episodes you'd like to see? I have and some have been great but then I forget about it. I think the one thing I miss about the
Simpsons is new people becoming parts of the show all the time. I know some of you can tell me but when is the last time they added a charactor that has stayed
around year and year in random episodes other than Colin and Plopper. I also miss the shows had Homer going to work, the kids to school and Marge at home, and
the entire show starts with that morning and ends with that night. But thats what makes it great, things I miss or like, others are right the oppisite.
The only thing that will keep me from true depression when it ends is the hope they'll continue to do movies. |

Extremely happy to see the show is going to continue. Still think the worst episode of The Simpsons is better than the best episode of Family Guy but
that's just me being a Seth McFarlane "hater".
