But I can't see them making a first series with just those 3 in it either. And even though I own the old figures, I'd want to see what Toynami can do with those characters anyway. I'm hoping for maybe 4 figures per series, perhaps something like: Series 1: Fry Bender Zoidberg Amy Series 2: Leela Professor Farnsworth Hermes Calculon Series 3: Zapp Kif Flexo(or any other main character variant) Morbo And so on. I think after they run out of main characters, or maybe even before that, if they want the line to go on they'll want variants. And I can't imagine why they'd want the line to end before the new episodes start up, which is still pretty far off.

Get a few waves of figures out and then when sales might start to sag, the show starts up again and injects new life into the toyline.

They might have to pay a few wing-wangs to get some celebrity jar heads, but after a few waves you could have your own head in a jar museum diorama. Morbo and Nixon head in a jar would rock.

I'm thinking just a clear plastic jar, with a slide in image would be good enough. (Just print off an image and put in the jar if they're too expensive for Toynami to buy rights.) The presidents, especially Nixon, would be cool (and prolly free.)

I think the slide in image is a pretty good one too but I think I would rather see the head sculpt instead. Just look at the Hellboy figure and how cool Von Klempt is. RM

Toynami does not make vast assortments of figures for any license they have in their possession. I don't think we'll be seeing too many characters, unless they get huge sales. www.toynami.com/ For example: Inuyasha is a license they have that has only two figures a series and has reached up to a fourth series. They have only done that many in about two years. Everything else they make tends to be just one small group of figures. We can find some hope in Toynami's "I-Men" figures. They have the most depth of characters so far in anything they have done. Futurama may be their most popular license they have obtained, so we can hope for the best to come out of it in getting more characters in this line.

I am almost guessing that the Fry and Leela figures will be the MAC figures with possibly small variations if not the exact figures and that the figures will be two-packed rather than individually carded. I really think this is a smart move on Toynami's part as Zoidberg and Zapp are sure to be very popular with the Futurama fans and Bender is always popular no matter who he comes with. The Bender Robot Devil I-Men is probably the most sought out and rarest of Futurama merchandise out there. I think with the two-pack idea the line of figures will sell really well which will really open the door to future waves beyond those already announced. The question is if Toynami is on board with it or not. I am really not sure why there was only a 10 figure release of the I-Men even though they seemed to have sold really well. It makes me wonder if being such a small company this is the best model for them - good license but limited releases to sort of get in and get out quick without too much exposure of poor selling lines. Looks really good either way. RM PS, Before anything else is released the Robot Devil is a must for any future waves. Filling out the rest of the PE crew would be really sweet as well.

But they need to finish the crew. It would be a real shame to start this line yet again, and still not get figures of Hermes or Amy. Zoidberg, Zapp, and Kiff are great choices though.
