I just picked up Balder's Gate II pretty cheap at Target. What a fun hack-n-slash! I gave SC: Pandora Tomorrow a break for a while. I came too close too many times to throwing my controller after enemies could spot me in the pitch-black without any nightvision. I'm looking forward to Darkwatch in August. Just got a new demo with my XBox Magazine.

I'm not saying it's bad, it just gets a little repetitive repetitive repetitive repetitive repetitive mowing down the undead. The horseback riding segments are probably the worst. Maybe it'll "kick it up a notch" as I get further along and get different powers and gain access to new weapons....

Not only that, but MS is charging royalties on third-party accessories, so those won't be any less expensive. Not only that, but the "wireless" controller doesn't come with the rechargeable battery or the charger. In total, one controller with those is over $80 friggin' dollars. Not to mention the $100 wireless adapter. The other two companies have stated that this is included in their boxes.

It's not a bad game. I really like the story/premise, but as a FPS it's pretty ordinary. The Halo aspect of only being able to hold two guns at the same time is ok, but the enemies are very repetitive and lack a little imagination after you've mowed down hundreds of them. It could've been better, might be a good movie script. 6.5/10

I picked up PGR3 a few days ago, and it's awesome. Truly a great game. Anyway, my Gamertag is Barnacleez, I haven't got Live set up to play against anyone yet (although after trying it at my friends house, I think I'm sold on the Live thing), but feel free to add me anyway.

Posts: 853 (12/27/05 20:01:37) The Green Wolverine Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	So I've been playing Madden & PD0 since launch, and I got Call of Duty 2 for Christmas...some quick impressions: Madden: Kinda bare bones, but the graphics are great, the gameplay is fun, as is multiplayer. PD0: Beautiful, but single-player is kinda lackluster, and can be frustrating and just lame sometimes. The weapons are great though, and the multiplayer is awesome. Call of Duty 2: Amazing single-player game & great graphics. I only played multiplayer a couple times, but I think it may be beaten by PD0; its still fun with a couple friends though.

TRU had it for $10 Forgotten Ralms: Demon Stone - gift to myself. TRU had it for $10 Batman/Robin: Rise of Sin Tsu - gift X-Men Legends - gift Freaky Flyers - gift some cheap racing game that I can't remember - gift a buddy of mine got me the 4 multiplayer games so we could play together...I know they were all $10 or less. I finished the story mode of SW: BattleFront II this weekend as well. Not sure if I'll play the Galactic Conquest thru or not. Seems a bit repeticious...

I've become addicted to Hexic HD. Got my marathon score above 260000 today, still no black pearl cluster. I can't seem to get more than one pearl per game. I'm also nearly done getting all silver medals in PGR3. Not sure I'll try for gold, although I do have a few of them(platinums too) as well. I'd like to get more friends in my list (right now I only have my ex-roommate), so feel free to add Barnacleez to yours.

I have noticed that some shops over here have begun stocking them in small numbers. Sadly, barely anyone over here has HDTV because it isnt even broadcast yet (until later this year- yes, we are years behind) so I doubt its capabilities are fully realised by many.

Hopefully the 4th one will be a little better. I picked up Lego Star Wars at Target last week for $15. It pretty fun.
