"The allure of the free GH: Van Halen pulled me in. I did buy GH5 today, two games for $60 is a great deal, I was going to wait for the prices to drop on these then get them, but they are $30 each now, which is pretty good."

Also, I'm actually enjoying GH5, believe it or not. It seems a lot more polished than GHWT, and the songs for the most part have been enjoyable. Granted,
I'm only about 1/3 of the way through the setlist, but so far so good.

GH5 is pretty good. Honestly I liked the song choices on World Tour just a little bit better, but as a game GH5 is much better so there's that. Most of the
songs I liked in World Tour transferred over to GH5 anyway, but not all of them... most notably Beat It, Hotel California, Crazy Train, and Mr Crowley. But
with any luck the licensing issues will be worked out and those will transfer over at some point as well.
I just wish GH would make more of an effort with the DLC, since that's the one thing Rock Band always has over GH no matter what. Maybe it'll improve now that DLC for GH carries over. Rolling Stones DLC for the first week is a good start(but not great, they aren't the best choice of songs and live versions aren't what I'd prefer anyway), but I'm afraid it'll go back to weeks full of terrible stuff and songs/bands I've never heard of soon enough. |

It's too easy though... I finished it on expert and don't think I ever even got into the red on any song, not even 21st Century Schizoid Man, which is
supposed to be the hardest song in the game.

I want more Godsmack. One song isn't enough. I dont care that Vampires has no vocals, I want it in Rock Band!

just confimed that they did indeed receive my mailed-in information for GH:VH. What a cluster that process is. Wonder how many submissions will be
"lost".

So, the entire LEGO Rock Band setlist is out. It's really really good IMO. Hendrix, Ghostbusters, The Final Countdown, Incubus, Let's Dance, and Two
Princes are enough that I would get it. But there are several other really good songs too. Plus to have it exportable to Rock Band 2 is awesome. I don't
like that it costs $10 to do, but that's fixed by the game only costing $50. Still, I'm stoked and have it on preorder.
I wonder how RB is able to get Hendrix without a Hendrix avatar, but that was a stipulation for his songs in GH:WT... |

I'm actually disappointed with the Lego Rock Band setlist. It's good, but the songs you mentioned are the only real highlights. I mean, it has The
Final Countdown so I will buy it, but I'm still disappointed.
I'm also disappointed in Band Hero, mainly in that I'll probably buy it. I was hoping to skip it, but American Pie, Every Rose Has Its Thorn, Mr.Roboto, and a few other songs are telling me I have to get it, even if there are plenty of songs I don't really want on the list as well. I received my GH Van Halen in the mail today. I've only played about a third of the songs on the game, but what I've played so far has been fun. I'm glad the game was essentially free though, I'm sure I'd be disappointed if I'd actually paid for it. |

And the Queen pack is AWESOME. The only bad song to play on guitar is Another One Bites The Dust, but that song rules anyway.

I hate to admit this, but I am going to get Band Hero. Despite all the pop crap in it, there are some nice classic songs: Mr. Roboto, I Heard It Through the
Grapevine, Happy Together, Honky Tonk Women, Do You Really Want To Hurt Me.
Sigh. I preordered Lego Rock Band months ago, so I'm going to be busy on 11/3. |
