I'm guessing Target either won't take delivery of the new 3-packs until the others are out of their warehouse or they have the new stuff in the warehouse but will hold it until the shelves are clear.

I think Mattel is to blame for this debacle as toy companies should, in my opinion, have the common sense to not over-produce certain characters.

Virtually every toy line has been hurt by a few waves of popular characters selling well, retailers then upping the order on the next wave and that wave not being as strong, and that wave then clogging shelves for months and grinding sales to a halt for both the manufacturer and the retailers.

Basically, if you can only sell 50,000 3-packs with characters like Bats and Supes being in the mix, how can you possibly think you can sell that many or more with The Question or a GL with two "girls" in the package.

Of course the retailers are dumb as well, as once sales move to a crawl on one assortment they don't even consider putting the next one up on the shelves - if Target took all the current 3-packs off the shelves right now and put out the new product they would sell more. Then put the old back out there when there is room...

I think this reprents what is coming for JLU. The Wave numbers are a little odd - I decided to have each Wave consist of five singles, two 3-packs and one 6-packs even though I think these will come out more hpahazzard:

I really liked the Justice Guild episodes, so happy with that choice.

I saw the vid of the panel and it wasn't clear (to me anyway) if only Supes was "eclipsed" or if they all were...

(And not sure why I mentioned in my "Where is" list Blackhawk, he's coming and has been announced for awhile. Tough to get old and forgetful...)
