Everybody going on the 17th may want to check out Universal's website. It has the
opening of the Simpsons Ride on May 19th.

Bad news guys! I called Universal and they confirmed that the ride was not opening until next Monday (no soft openings or annual pass specials). I can't go
on Memorial Day weekend so how's about one of the following weekends (May 31 or June 7)?

Hey hey everyone!! I think I might be interested in this too!!
My old phone finally died on me, so I don't have anyone's numbers anymore 
So my family came into town this past week and we had to go to Universal Studios b/c of the SImpsons ride. OMG, this ride is HI-larious. It really is a lot of fun and the setup was great. We had to go through twice to try to catch on the lines and see everything during the ride. For those unfamiliar, this is a simulaiton ride. This ride was converted from the old Back to the Future Ride. We went on a Friday and the wait was about 30 minutes the first time through. The line moves really quick thanks to a handful of LCD's playing clips of the Simpsons sliced in between new material made for the ride. The clips are mostly from episodes that were theme park related. My favorite clip - the one with the Bort license plate, but there was one thing that I was hoping they'd have: a clip of the tooth chipper .
The ride itself is a total blast. I won't ruin the details here, but it was easily the most popular attraction there.

So there will be a "mandatory" SoCal meeting some weekend in the fall to ride the Universal ride! It's so awesome. Also we are talking about
going to Universal on Tuesday July 22nd for those of you that can take the time off!
