Since Playmates apparently can not create any new sculpts, with the possible exception of THOH 5, doesn't this still leave room for a Rabbi Krustofski figure since it's already sculpted? Should we move our efforts toward getting this figure released instead of Maude?

Wasn't there a big conflict involving Jackie Mason allowing his voice to be used as a figure?
The figure was scupted, and put on display at a Toy Show. Just before the release, Jackie backed down stating something like: "The view of a Rabbi action figure would be offensive to many groups of people. I don't to be blamed for such an act, because I not actually critizing their beliefs." Sorry for this being not so accurate, I can't remember the entire story of it. |

Does Playmates have the license until the end of '04?
WHy not release stuff they can still make money on? Is another company taking over so they can't release stuff or what?

From what we've been infer\hinted at by BD & MWC Fox seems to be the "Buttzillias" in this process. PM seems to be on board to make more money by releasing more figs(and why wouldn't they be) but it seems that Fox for some reason is saying no. Yeah some people have mentioned that maybe some other company is gonna buy the rights from PM or sumptin' so you may be correct there. I guess only time will tell.
Hey BD\MWC will we EVER know what is going on, or will the whole story never fully come out? I know that right now PM\Fox isn't telling you everything, and what they are telling, you can't say(not much at least) but in say 2 months, or 6 months will you be able to\will they(Fox\PM) tell us more? |

What he said.  If I was getting paid for this, I wouldn't be so broke all the time.  Just by working on the website for SCS and being an Admin here (a non-paying and ocassionally thankless job, but mostly enjoyable way to spend my free time), I've had the privilege of going to Toy Fair(s) and meeting people involved with the WoS line who hook us up with info. MWC also has his uber-connections to guide us and work his info-getting magic without which we would be lost. A catch to us getting to get info from these sources is that some of it is often confidential and we aren't allowed to discuss it. We do our very best to drop hints to everyone, of course, until the time is right and all info can be revealed. I think it can be agreed that, given some of the limitations we have, we have done an excellent job of keeping everyone here in the loop and informed.

I have heard nothing from anyone directly about any other company being involved with the license moving forward. That doesn't mean I don't have suspicions, but certainly nothing other than that.
