That's not what PH means, rick. As is already explained on another thread, FOX's claim that "Barting Over" is the 300th episode is false. "Strong Arms of the Ma" is. Also, when we say that "Barting Over" is the 302nd episode to air, 301st to be produced, it doesn't mean that an episode aired without being produced. That, of course, would be impossible. It means that FOX doesn't air the episodes in the same order that they were produced. To illustrate this, we look at a list of Season 1's eps, via www.snpp.com

Here the p-codes beginning with 7G give the order in which the eps were originally produced (i.e. 7G01 was first, 7G02 was second, etc.), while the calendar dates give the order in which they aired. So the first OFF ep ever produced was the ep "Some Enchanted Evening," p-code 7G01. But notice that it was the 13th episode to actually air on FOX, as it didn't show until May, when OFF as its own series was already five months old. So 7G01 was the 13th episode aired, 1st ep produced. This doesn't mean that 12 episodes of OFF aired without being produced!

What PH is trying to say, rick, is that neither method of counting eps, whether by broadcast or by production, justifies FOX's claim that "Barting Over" is the 300th ep. The former method tells us that "Barting Over" is the 302nd, the latter the 301st, but neither says that it's really the 300th.

So if it's a 90 minute simpsons spectacular and they are showing two new episodes, what's in the extra half hour? Sorry but those sketches for this years upcoming exclusives have kind of screwed up my brain.
