hi,
does anyone know definatively how many of the World Of Springfield toys were made by companies other that Playmates

I know in the UK vivid produced the toys under license, and made carded versions of some playset figures, eg you can get The Collector on card, but does anyone know how many Bandai or Italien figures were made.

The Italien ones have a round green logo instead of playmates. I have a Mr Burns, Homer and Grampa on card by them. does anyone know how many...

I just won the bid on series 16 on ebay for $62 dollars,i think that was a great winning price.I am syked to get this so cheap considering Evil Homer alone is selling for $100 an up.I have 1 complete unopened set,but ive decided to start putting together 1 more complete set.I had so much fun collecting this set that ive missed it for so long that starting the hunt again on the net would be fun.

Custom WOS seven duffs

Hi there,
I am considering making some seven duffs to add to my own WOS collection, but also to sell.
I've made a few customs before but the duffs will be a bit harder, but im sure i'll figure it out

I intend to make prototypes with an actual beer bottle, putty for the faces, and WOS limbs for the arms and legs, then make rubber moulds. with the rubber moulds make casts using plaster of paris, which i've used before.
then with the blanks paint them

I'm new here, and I just got a collection of figures, along with about the first 15 seasons on vhs, from the original maker of this website, and I wanted to know what you guys think should be the first figure I try to find, considering I have Edna(3), Sunday best grandpa and lisa, Marvin Monroe, Chalmers, busted krusty and sideshow bob, Wendell, Daredevil Bart, Sherri and Terri, Disco Stu, and Kearny.

I remember there was a list of customs years ago. How do I find that now? I remembering a flaunder's basement. MAude. A tree for the treehouse set. An alternate Jail. An alternate antique shop. Any help would be appreciated.

WoS on 7th Heaven

Whilst channel surfing, I for some reason paused on a 7th Heaven repeat on the Hallmark Channel. The middle daughter was in a music store with the youngest daughter arguing with some punks. In the background, you could readily see WoS figures on the wall behind her. And then when she went up the cashier, there were a couple more WoS figs on a shelf behind him. Kinda blurry, but I recognized one was Flanders.

Obviously this is about seven years too late for folks to give a crap,...

WOS Prototypes...any one know any additional info on them?

Over the years, I have purchased about 30 WOS "Prototype" figures. Prices ranged from $20 to $30 each.

I was wondering if anyone knew of how many are usually made for tests? I have different colorations of similar characters. Some painted.

Any info would help. Thanks.

Is it just a simple manufacturing error on Playmates' part? It's a shame because figures like Barney and Moe can't stand in Moe's Tavern and figures like Mr. Burns and Smithers can't stand in the power plant lunch room =/

Hi everyone I haven't been on this site since 2004 (I joined in 2001). Once the downfall of WOS I couldn't see the point. Just waiting now for the figures to became vintage. I am beginning to think investing in the WOS was a better idea than the stock market and the banks which are falling faster then a fatman off a cliff. What's happen to all the friendly people who once frequent this site?

Now maybe it's jut my imagination, but I thought Town Square usually goes for a lot more....

Well actually a year and one day... on June 29th, 2007 I got my first WoS figure: Simpsons Kitchen with Muumuu Homer for 30 bucks including shipping. I think this was a good way to kick off my collection since King Size Homer is one of my favorite episodes of all time (it wouldn't be until July 3rd that I would get the playset representing my all-time top favorite episode: Homer's Enemy).
